The Latest News from FSF

For the third year running, Rashantha Devanesan organised a sale of her beautiful handmade jewellery.  This year the sale was at St Anne's, Soho on 17 October 2015.  A steady stream of eager customers enjoyed looking at the unique and stunning items for sale, trying them on and choosing the pieces that were just right for them.  Rashantha was at hand to explain about the origins of the original antique and vintage elements from India, Morocco, Indonesia, China and, of course, Sri Lanka, which had “reborn” as contemporary, wearable jewellery.  With tea and cakes available to aid decision making and enhance the pleasure of becoming the owner of something very special, there was a friendly buzz throughout the day.  Very many thanks to Rashantha and her team of helpers for their hard work.  Rashantha made a generous donation of over £1,100 from the proceeds of the sale.  This will fund new Sunera T-shirts for all 1,200 SF workshop participants and smart polo shirts for the workshop leaders.
